Chief Executive Officer of Irbard Security Consult, Irbard Ibrahim has launched a socio-political operation dubbed “Search for Common Ground” to address some key governance structural issues.

Expected to span for 50 years, “Search for Common Ground” will come up with initiatives to curb the winner-takes-all syndrome that bedevils Ghana’s long-term development; and also ensure social, political, cultural, religious and ethnic cohesion for Ghana’s prosperity.

The project’s secretariat has unveiled huge billboards with unifying national messages and will use mass communication tools and engagements with policy makers and opinion leaders at the community level to further the goals and objectives of the project.

In collaboration with GhanaWeb, it has started a rigorous online campaign with hashtag #endwinnertakesall.

The winner-takes-all practice has been bemoaned by many social and political commentators as the bane of Ghanaian politics having a negative toll on development.

Winner-takes-all is defined as a political mechanism for facilitating the inclusion and exclusion of individuals, groups, and classes of persons from the spoils of political power, national governance, as well as the conferment of economic advantages to only those who win political power.
