SOSA 90 Group to assist alma mater

The 1990 Year Group of Sogakope Senior High School (SOSA 90 Group) has planned to donate computers to the School as its quota to support teaching and learning.

Mr Prosper Kwame MacDonald Agbohlah Kitty, President of SOSA 90, who said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the Association’s end-of-year get-together in Accra, said their visit to the school last two years has revealed lots of challenges facing the school.

“As a result, members have pledged to donate eight computers to enhance teaching and learning in ICT in the school as well as to facilitate students’ online registration for external examinations.

He said earlier, the 90 group contributed GHC2000.00 through the National SOSA for the completion of the rehabilitated Dining Hall.

Mr Kitti, who is also a Chief Executive Officer of Amny Shipping & Trading Company Limited, said the executives would contact the administrators of the school to assess the needs of the school and relay it to the group for further assistance.

On welfare of members, he said in future the group would venture into establishing series of businesses to cater for members’ needs.

He all members would be allowed to invest in the business through the contribution of seed capital.

That, he said, would give jobs to members who were currently jobless as well as create wealth for members since each member would get dividend at the end of each year according to the amount invested.

“The group has lots of professionals who can help in this direction and with commitment and trust we can grow this business into international status,” he added.

He, therefore, called on members to remain loyal in honouring their monthly dues and other levies as and when it became necessary to enable the group meet its targets for the year.

“When we call for meetings, we must endeavour to attend as major decisions will be taken at such meetings so that we will all brainstorm and come to a common solution,” he added.

Members have commended the executives for their efforts to bring them together and pledged to support to make the group a formidable one that would give back to the institution that made them what they were today.
