Write officially to us if you want your contract terminated - Obed Acheampong

Communications director for Asante Kotoko Obed Acheampong has told goalkeeper Ernest Sowah to officially write to officials of the club if indeed he wants a mutual termination of his contract.

Sowah, earlier on Monday in an interview with Angel FM disclosed he’s unhappy at the club and wants his contract which expires in 2019 terminated after the club’s Boss Dr. Kwame Kyei accused him of taking bring in a premier league match against Liberty Professionals last season.

In the said interview, Sowah said ''Dr Kwame Kyei accused me of taking bribe in front of the playing body in the dressing room immediately after our last league match against Liberty Professionals”.

An unhappy Ernest Sowah further appealed to the club’s hierarchy to abrogate his contract which initially ends next year but Obed Acheampong in a separate interview on Abusua Sports Arena hosted by Kofi Larbi [Governor] stated until the player writes officially to the club his contract remains intact.

”Ernest Sowah should officially write to us if he feels he can’t continue playing for Kotoko”.

He added” Management will handle his claim internally and see what to do but until he writes to us to come into compromise his contract with Kotoko will remain untouched.
