New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand, Kennedy Agyapong has for the first time open up on the perception held by many including members of his own party that he is disrespectful, arrogant and rude.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, has dispelled such claims admitting that it is being fueled by some members within his party and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) but that is in variance with his true character.

“I have a behavior where if you come to my house for the first time and probably don’t know me, you will say that the MP is rude but they themselves know that I am not”.

“Sometimes I get out from my house to see about seventy people lined up. I am human being and I go off and start discrimination but they will never leave. They still wait because they know I will talk and still give them something”, he revealed.

“Sometimes if I make a statement about people I have to go back and check”, the controversial lawmaker added.

“When you come to my house at Assin Fosu we have Koobi, Kako, sardine, corned beef, everything local and I eat with everybody. People are free to come me so why will they say I am arrogant”. He quizzed.

“Parliamentary job is not as easy as probably the only thing you enjoy is the honorable title. …At the end of the day the pocket comes empty”, he spoke on GHOne’s State of Affairs interview programme during a one-on-one interview with the host Nana Aba Anamoah.

He advised colleague parliamentarians not to see themselves as super human beings over their constituents who voted them to their current positions.

“When you don’t have the money you have to be a down-trodden MP. Go to your constituency and meet them in block”, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong advised.
