Hello good evening and welcome to our last live text update for the year 2017 and it’s West Brom vs Arsenal which kicks off at 16:30 GMT.

Having overcome Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, Arsene Wenger returns to the scene of his other greatest low of last season – the Hawthorns.

In March the Gunners were humbled in a 3-1 defeat that led to questions over Wenger’s future, not least because of the two planes that hovered over the Midlands demanding separately that he go and that fans treat him with respect.

West Brom are now under new management but have not yet benefitted from any particular ‘bounce’ under Alan Pardew and are winless in the league since the second weekend of the season, though they have proven to be a tough nut to crack against top sides.

Liverpool were held to a goalless draw earlier this month – exactly the sort of result Arsenal cannot afford with the margins so tight in the race for the top four. But Pardew would doubtless delight in getting one over on his old rival Wenger.
