KUMACA deaths: Journalists refused entry

Journalists were on Monday refused entry into the Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) at the Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti region following orders by school authorities to disallow media persons into the school.

This is in the wake of reported death cases of some two first year students over the weekend and some three students who are currently on admission at the hospital.

Sources inside the school told Ultimate News the security man at the school’s entrance has been given orders by school authorities to prevent the invasion of journalists.

Even though the cause of the death is unknown, people are attributing it to meningitis which hit the school in April causing the death of three students.

The decision of the school to prevent journalists in the school keeps brooding suspicion and confusion as to the possible cause of death as two days ago these same journalists were invited to be a part of the school’s 60th anniversary.
