Changing Of Multiple Sex Partners Business Venture

Recent findings has revealed that the changing of multiple sex partners is now becoming one of the most viable business ventures for many young women in Ghana. The study identified female students and job apprentices as some of the most vulnerable groups involved in the act.

It became evident that most of them are flirting indiscriminately only for financial gains. This came to light at an HIV/AIDS prevention and education programme organised by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency Ghana, (ADRA) for members of the Kaneshie Hairdressers, Porters, Cargo Drivers, Dress Makers and Tailors Association. The programme brought together over 350 of them who carried placards amidst dancing and drumming to further propagate the message on the dangers in contracting the deadly disease. Addressing them, the Greater Accra Regional

Co-ordinator of ADRA, Mrs Beatrice Boakye-Yiadom stressed that though billions of cedis have been spent on HIV/AIDS prevention and education Programmes yet many especially the youth are taking the campaign against the disease as a mere fantasy and indulging in all forms of immoral acts. Later in an interview with some of the young women, they admitted that most of them are at risk in contracting the disease since many of them are becoming sexually vulnerable due to financial difficulties.
