Young Patriot donates to deprived community in Adansi constituency

Young Patriot made a donation to Onyame Na Ose Young Patriot made a donation to Onyame Na Ose

Young Patriot, a Non-Governmental Organization affiliated to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), as part of its social responsibility has made a donation to Onyame Na Ose, a community under the Adansi North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

The group led by Lawyer John Kumah who is the National President of Young Patriots and the Chief Executive Officer of National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan-NEIP, donated 300 pairs of shoes to the students, teachers and opinion leaders of Onyame Na Ose village, as well as 100 bags of cement for the school.

The gesture was in response to Atinka TV documentary about the plight of the people of Onyame Na Ose and financed by Ejisu and Kumasi Central Market Young Patriots chapter.

Addressing the pupils and the community during the donation, Lawyer John Kumah said he and his group were touched by the story of the people of Onyame Na Ose, hence the decision to support them in a little way they could. He said Young Patriot as a group will continue to the lead a path that will influence the society positively.

The group pledged to purchase a motor-bike for the headmaster who currently treks 12 miles daily to and fro school.

The chief of the village also reciprocated the philanthropic gesture and donated two sheep and food items to Young patriot. He appealed to government to assist with facilities and also enrolment of the school onto the school feeding program.
