Division One League Board chairman Owoahene Acheampong wants the adjudication committee of the Ghana Football Association restructured.

Acheampong is making a strong case for a sole-judge system.

He argues that current situation of more than one adjudicator makes it complicated because they find it difficult to form a quorum.

In an interview with the GNA Sports, he said: ''The clubs suffer” when cases are delayed, adding that, the GFA must adopt “competition rules” where it can introduce the sole judge system to ensure quick decisions of cases before it.

''We are doing our report to the GFA and I am asking for a competition regulation instead of what is done normally.

He added: ''We need a sole judge system, where a single judge will sit on the case. If they (clubs) are not satisfied they can then appeal and another sole judge would adjudicate it. We don’t want the case of we are waiting for quorum to be formed which takes too much time.

''We are asking that the sole judge system be considered to deal with the cases, and also that football issues should be dealt with dispassionately.''
