Fenerbahce are seeking to beat their Turkish Super Lig rivals Galatasaray to the signature of Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah in January, fresh reports have emerged in Turkey.

The 28-year-old has long been linked with a move to Galatasaray in the winter after seeing their summer bid rejected by the Italian champions.

But Turkish media outlets Hurriyet and Aksamvia Sporx are reporting on Friday that Fenerbahce have entered the race for his signature.

The two Turkish giants are expected to go toe-to-toe for his signature with Asamoah likely to leave Juventus in January.

Asamoah, who is down the pecking order at the Serie A champions, wanted to move but Juventus blocked his departure.
