GPL player depends on sports betting to survive

Bolga All Stars captain, Yusif Goma, has revealed that he depends on betting to survive due to unpaid salaries.

According to Goma, due to the club’s financial woes the players have only been paid twice this season.

“I depend on betting for survival,” Goma told Kumasi-based Adehye FM.

“Bolga All Stars have paid us for only two months this season.”

The Bolga based club are rock bottom of the Ghana Premier League table.

The Star of the East will play as guests to Asante Kotoko this Sunday on match day 25 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
