Politician and Chairperson of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has intimated that there is the need for Ghanaians to cultivate entrepreneurial attitudes so as to proffer solutions to challenges and implement them.

Speaking at a seminar held at Zenith University College in Accra, Tuesday, Dr. Nduom indicated that individuals with entrepreneurial mindsets are often drawn to opportunities, innovation and new value creation.

“[People with that mindset] are people who identify problems early and they present solutions; then they often lead in implementing the solutions. We have many people in Ghana and are experts at identifying the problems. They are experts at talking about the problem… But that doesn’t take you too far. You need people who will also come and offer the solution and then you need people who will come and implement. But if all three are in one mind, now you are beginning to work like an entrepreneur,” he noted.

He further advised prospective entrepreneurs to take calculated risks and accept the realities of change and uncertainty but stressed that one does not need to own a business to be an entrepreneur.

Groupe Nduom is a privately held business group with member companies in banking, financial services, hospitality, real estate, IT, media and entertainment.

With over 3,500 direct employees, many of whom live and work in Dr. Nduom's coastal hometown, Elmina, Groupe Nduom has become one of the largest business groups in Ghana.
