Spanish second tier side side Real Oviedo are in talks with Manchester City over a deal to sign Ghanaian winger Yaw Yeboah on loan for the season, ElDesmarque reports.

The Asturian club have held negotiations with bosses from City, who are not against the idea of 20-year-old Yeboah continuing his development in the second tier of Spanish football.

The former Ghana under-20 international spent last season on loan at FC Twente in the Eredivisie, where he often formed an attacking trident with fellow Man City loanees Enes Ünal and Bersant Celina.

Like Ünal (sold to Villarreal for £12million) and Celina (loaned to Ipswich Town), Yeboah is not returning to the Dutch side and is in search of a new home.

And having probed the market for options, Oviedo believe the versatile attacker could add quality to their side.

Last season they finished 8th in the Segunda División, just two points shy of the promotion play-offs.

With the right additions, the fan-funded hipsters’ favourite club could make a genuine push to play in Spain’s top flight, and they hope Yaw Yeboah can help them achieve that target.
