The majority speaker in Parliament, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, has lashed out at the minority NDC for not just walking out on the speaker of parliament but also threatening to file an impeachment petition against him.

Reacting to these warnings by the minority group of the house, the majority leader made the case that it was a breach of the standing orders of parliament for the minority to have made such a statement.

"They have bitten more than they can chew, they don't even read the law to appreciate the rules that we are governed by," the majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu revealed.

Speaker of Parliament, Professor Mike Ocquaye, has been blamed for being biased in the line of his work, a claim the minority warn could lead them to trigger an impeachment motion.

But the speaker has assured the house that his duties as the voice of Parliament is to ensure order in the deliberations and passing of legislation.
