Edmund Kyei has expressed absolute trust in President Nana Akufo-Addo and his administration, stressing that he will make good his promises to Ghanaians to ensure the nation reaps the full benefits of its rich untapped resources.

Speaking with Asempanews.com the New Patriotic Party communicator assured that, the intent of the President to make the country economically stable has already started to take shape as inflation has declined steadily from 12.6% in December to 12.1% as of June.

“Investors are also thronging the office of the President to lend their support to restore and bolster business activities in the country to facilitate job creation for the youth.

“We have seen Switzerland allocate an amount of $80 million to support the enhanced competitiveness of Ghanaian enterprises in the global market space, as well as help in government’s efforts at diversifying the Ghanaian economy” he stated.

Also, the President’s $100 million dollar package to fund the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP) launched last Thursday are all evidence that government is keen on putting the country’s economic environment on the right footing.

He however, made reference to the Senior Minister, Hon. Osafo Marfo’s assertion that “it takes time to get things done because it must be done legally” thus pleaded with the citizenry to exercise patience for the seven-month old government.

He indicated that to the masses, it may appear as though government's work-rate is slow-paced but, he explained that the NPP inherited an ailing economy which they (the NPP) is determined to correct in order to turn around the fortunes of Ghanaians.
