Cape Coast mayor courts US investors

The Mayor of Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA), Mr. Ernest Arthur is courting investors for the tourism sector, agriculture, manufacturing among others within the Metropolis to create job opportunities for the youth.

Mr. Arthur as part of his effort to open up job opportunities in the area visited the Mayor of Mount Vernon, New York United States of America, Mr. Richard Thomas to discuss the development of Cape Coast.

The MCE during his inauguration pledged his commitment to lobby for investors to develop Cape Coast, fight fallen standards in education and create jobs as MCE of the area, stating that he and assembly cannot do it alone and called for partnership to assist the assembly to achieve its targets.

“We need partners and that is why I seized this opportunity to meet those great people” he added.

He unveiled investment opportunities in Cape Coast and how investors in America especially Mount Vernon can take advantage.

The two Mayors discussed sister-city relation between Cape Coast and Mount Vernon where he accepted an invitation to visit Cape Coast to acquaint himself with the investment opportunities.
