Nana Obiri Boahen, Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Part (NPP), has condemned both the General Secretary of National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and his Deputy, Koku Anyindoho for politicizing the ghastly murder of Major Maxwell Adams.

Speaking during the Unity FM morning show, ‘ANOPA NSROMA’, Nana Obiri Boahen described both Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and Koku Anyindoho as insensitive.

“Someone’s child was killed and soldiers have also gone to the town to go and arrest some. It is a sad story, a very sad story. And then you play politics with it. Are you people so insensitive? Do you know God? If he were your brother, would you be playing politics with this? ” he said.

During a show at the Kumasi-based Nhyira FM last week, he asked if the two will ever make sense in their statements, adding that their communication on issues of national concern gets him frustrated.

"Sometimes the behavior of Asiedu Nketia and Koku Anyidoho as Secretary and Deputy respectively make me want to quit politics and focus on my life as a lawyer. Listen to them and you will understand they do not make sense in politics at all,” Mr. Boahen explained.

“Have they finished talking about the impunity in their party and that of the recent one of their Member of Parliament Kwabena Mintah Akando before accusing the President?” he asked.

“I am telling Asiedu Nketia to grow from his dirty and childish politics. He must act like his age. He has been behaving like this from opposition to government and now back to opposition. Enough is enough. Tell him.”

The controversial NDC general secretary popularly known as General Mosquito signed a press release which suggested that President Akufo-Addo is to be blamed for the murder of Major Maxwell Mahama at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region.

The statement read, the dreadful murder happened "under the direct supervision of President Akufo-Addo”.

This has warranted the NDC a series of backlash from the likes of the majority leader of Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, Host of Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" Kwami Sefa Kayi and Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat (NSS) Nana Boakye among others who described the statement as ‘unwise’ ,’shameful’ ,’irresponsible’ and ‘reckless’.
