Francis Bio, a 46-year-old resident of Denkyira-Boase and a prominent character in the widely circulated video of the lynching Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama was found dead on Thursday afternoon.

Even though police in the area indicate that they have commenced investigations into circumstances that led to his death after the body in a pool of blood, conflicting reports suggest the deceased may have taken his own life by stabbing for fear of facing off with the law.

“I believe he killed himself because he was seen clearly in most of the footages that went viral on social media and mainstream media” a security officer in the area disclosed to mynewsgh.com on grounds of strict anonymity.

The body was found at Modase, a nearby community in Denkyira-Boase in the Central Region.

“The Assemblyman for Modaso, one Isaac Aidoo lodged a complaint with the Diaso Police informing them about the discovery of the body of a male adult in front of an uncompleted building at the outskirts of the town.

“According to the Assemblyman, his body was found this morning when residents from the community woke up”, a Joy Fm report disclosed.

The death of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama still remain a mystery and a shock to the country with sections of the view that it was all planned by the residents led by the assemblyman for the area William Baah who has been remanded into prison custody along 6 others to reappear in a fortnight.
