London Chamber of Commerce Mission to visit Ghana

Accra, March 11, GNA - A London Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Trade Mission is to pay a six-day working visit to Ghana from March 19 to 24, 2004.

An official statement issued by the British High Commission on Thursday said the Mission comprising a group of 23 British companies represented a wide range of sectors and products.

These include: suppliers of fibre optic cable, portable and fixed fire fighting equipment, high quality building finishing materials, instruments, controls and monitors for electric power utilities, design for the construction industry, healthcare support and internet telephone services.

It said the mission participants had a range of objectives including looking for local representatives, qualified distributors or agents.

"Some will be researching the market for the first time, others will be building on existing contacts and all will be looking to make new contacts," the statement said.

The statement said the Chamber organised over 15 trade missions world-wide each year and was looking forward to helping British companies explore business opportunities in Ghana and to building commercial ties between the two countries.

According to the statement, Ms Claire Pover, Leader of the Mission, was delighted to be leading another trade mission to Ghana and expressed the hope to further the existing relationships with companies in Ghana.

The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a non-profit making organisation is the United Kingdom's premier Chamber of Commerce established in 1881 to help London Business succeed.
