Paga Japan Stars debunks DOL exit rumours

The Secretary for Paga Japan Stars, Razak has refuted media reports claiming that the side had withdrawn from the ongoing 2016/17 Division One League.

According to the secretary, the team failed to honour some matches due to some circumstances beyond the reach of the club.

The lower-tier side did not play matches against Tano Bofoakwa, Unity FC and Berekum Arsenals.

Razak mentioned that there was a row between the Management members of the team which hindered the team from honouring its games.

‘’We have not written to anybody that we are out of the league, so we are still in the league. As it stands now, we didn’t honour some matches due to some problems, and they were not even in a roll. We didn’t play against Bofoakwa, Unity FC and Arsenals. Because we played Steadfast FC after failing to play Bofoakwa,’’ he told Sunyani-based Space FM.

‘’There was some misunderstanding between management that made it difficult for us to honour matches’’.

The Division One League continues Wednesday with match day 10 fixtures and Paga Japan Stars will battle Dark Horses in Wa.
