A senior high school student who allegedly had his mobile phone stolen has 'summoned the soul' of the of the person who stole his phone to the popular Klikor Shrine in the Volta Region

The student who appears to be a native of the Volta region has given the said thief a 7-day ultimatum to return his phone or risk execution by the famous deity.

A picture making rounds on social media has the student summoning the soul ‘wrongful owner’ of the handset to the well-known shrine.

Interestingly the summon did not end with the alleged thief but also caution was sent out to students or individuals with the slightest idea about the lost handset to ‘purge’ themselves of the same disaster that will befall the alleged thief by coming forth with information about the lost phone.

The note which seem to have been posted on the notice board of the school reads;

“A student or individual who went to Opoku Ware B23 to pick a mobile phone which does not belong to him. You are by this notice informed that your soul has been summoned at Kliko Shrine in the Volta region ....”

He ended his notice with an Ewe adage that will send shivers down the spine of whoever took his phone. 'Ne anyigbadzezo, afo Nyana to wit When the ground becomes hot the foot feels it



The Klikor shrine, Nogokpo shrine and Antoa shrine that had some of its golden ornaments stolen somewhere last year are three of the most trusted shrines in the country.

They have become resorts for individuals who appear not have utmost trust in the country’s judicial system and also feel that the smaller gods punish wrongdoers deservedly
