Late Mba Jato Dimab Late Mba Jato Dimab

The death has been reported of the former Northern regional first vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Mba Jato Dimab.

Family sources revealed that he died after a short illness and has since been buried in accordance with the Islamic custom.

The late NPP worked as vice under Alhaji Haruna Tia (Harunbees) now Regent of Zosali is credited for giving off his best for the interest of the party in the region.

Former Northern Acting Regional Secretary of the NPP Faisal Gbanjili who confirmed his passing to my newsgh.com said “I had a close relationship with Mba Jato. Even some few days to his passing he was still calling to check on me and to find out where i was going, like many keep asking. I know he wish me so well!

There is something so unique about Mba Jato, he was a very bold character, always ready to speak truth to power and damn the consequences! He was always fair and firm and highly principled.

I see him as a giant in our political set up in northern Region. Jato was always ready to move when it comes to party issues. I remember during the 2016 campaign when we decided to go and camp in the Eastern Corridor to do that stretch. He was not feeling well and could not go with us and was very worried to the extent that he called us every day to find out how the campaign was going.

It’s a great lost for me, as I have lost a teacher in impeccable Dagbani and oral history. Mr Bawah has lost a great friend; Alhaji Harunbis (Regent of Zosali) has lost a loyal political ally and a ‘Wulana’
