The Yellow and Mauve manager is happy with his charges after picking a point from their away game on Sunday.

Medeama manager Evans Adotey has insisted that his charges were impressive despite failing to pick their first away victory of the Ghana Premier League campaign this season.

The Tarkwa-based club shared the spoils 1-1 with Tema Youth on Sunday. Michael Kpovie put the hosts ahead after only three minutes on the clock but Benjamin Bature brought Medeama level after 63rd minute, making it a third consecutive stalemate and six points loss.

"I was happy with the players because they made sure we left Tema with a point. We did not have a perfect start to the game but having watched how they play, especially since their build up is swift, I had a plan to disrupt their flow," Adotey said.

"That is the reason I put one of my attackers upfront and strengthened the midfield to get them on the counter.

"However, after we conceded I decided to change the strategy, so I pushed one player upfront to help Latif Salifu to make it two attackers and that resulted in our equaliser."

"I cannot complain about the final results because we set out to pick either the three points or at least a point and, we got the latter which was deserved. We're going back home very happy," he added.

Medeama have dropped one place down into the relegation zone, currently sitting 14th on the log with eight points. They will host leaders Asante Kotoko on Wednesday, as they seek to end their winless streak.
