The Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) arrived in Ghana over the weekend, ahead of the 2018 XXI Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast in Australia, the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) announced.

The relay first started with his Excellency the Vice President of Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia from the flagstaff house and was handed over to the Sports Minister Isaac Mensah, then to the GOC President Ben Nunoo Mensah who later relayed it to MP for Klottey Korle, Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings and later landed in the hands of some key sports personalities, finally landing at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey pitch.

After touring some principle streets of Accra the QBR is expected to tour the Central region come Tuesday.
