GT holds change seminar for Eastern Region staff

Koforidua, Feb. 11, GNA - The Management of Ghana Telecom (GT) on Wednesday held a seminar at Koforidua to prepare the Eastern Regional staff of the company towards improved service delivery and standard performance.

The seminar was the seventh in a series being organised nationwide under the company's programme dubbed: "Regional road show of change process".

The objective of the programme is to establish improved communication among the staff and between them and the public, as well as update knowledge of the staff on important issues relevant to the industry.

The Eastern Regional Director of Ghana Telecom, Nii Amaa Fleischer-Brock, noted that the wave of competition confronting the company could only be surmounted if the staff changed their negative attitudes.

Nii Fleischer-Brock expressed the hope that the forum would further deepen the understanding of the staff about the solutions that management was finding towards specific challenges facing the company. He said plans were far advanced to increase and improve telephone facilities in the region and appealed to customers to be loyal to the company and pay their bills promptly for better services.
