Darko could not hand over as planned

Accra, Jan. 26, GNA - Mr Solomon Offei Darko, out-going Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, could not handover the administration of his office to the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Sheikh Ibrahim Quaye on Monday as was directed. This was because Mr Darko had not completed writing his handing over notes.

A new date for the handing over would be communicated to the media in due course, a source at the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development told the Ghana News Agency.

President John Agyekum Kufuor re-assigned Mr Darko to the National Development Planning Commission about tow weeks ago.
