Black Stars can win the AFCON - J.E. Sarpong

Former Liberty Professional’s trainer, J.E. Sarpong says he believes Black Stars can win next year’s AFCON, scheduled to take place in Gabon despite recent poor performance exhibited by the team.

Coach Sarpong indicated that he is sure the change of government will boost the performance of the Black Stars players.

"I won't be a surprise if the Black Stars go further in the AFCON and eventually win the ultimate prize. There is time for everything," he said on Angel FM.

"Even in the time of difficulties, they played their hearts out on the field. They played to win for the country”.

"So now that there is a wind of change in governance, the players are going to be on cloud nine. They won't let the new president of the country down.''
