Liberty Professionals star Latif 'Atta' Blessing has won the Ghana Premier League Best Player for 2016 season during a ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of State House in Accra on Friday.
He picked the award ahead of Medeama youngster Kwesi Donsu and Dreams FC captain Abdul Bashiru.
Blessing, 19, also claimed the topscorer's prize after netting 17 times in 22 appearances, one goal better than Yahaya Mohammed who has joined Tanzanian giants Azam FC from Aduana Stars.
However, despite Bashiru being the only defender in the topmost gong of the night nominees, he conspicuously lost the defender of the season award to Hearts of Oak centre-back Inusah Musah who played only 13 matches.
Wa All Stars coach Enos Adipah picked the coach of the season after guiding the club to win their first major silverware while their goalkeeper Richard Ofori won the best goalkeeper of the season ahead of Razak Abalora (Wafa) and Joseph Addo (Aduana Stars).
