Mills Accepts Xmas Gift, But Rawlings Aide Refuse

... Donates Items To Ga Traditional Council

Unlike the previous year when former Vice-President, Professor John Evans Atta Mills refused to accept drinks presented to him by the State Protocol on the occasion of Christmas celebration, he has accepted it this time round.

Professor Mills confirmed to “The Evening News” that he has accepted the protocol gifts but declined to comment further.

Investigations by this paper however revealed that Prof. Mills donated all the items to the Ga Traditional Council.

Also, there was no indication that any protocol parcel was given to former President Rawlings who together with his former Vice rejected last year’s parcel.

The former President’s Special aide Mr. Victor Smith, told “The Evening News” that an official of the State Protocol, Mr. Fred Amugi, had visited the residence of former President Rawlings on two occasions but he was told the former President was out of the country.
