Accused NRC Member Will Not Be Subpoena

The Executive Secretary of the National Reconciliation Commission, Dr. Ken Agyeman Atteyfah has stated that, there is no compelling evidence before the NRC, that the commission could subpoena, Dr. Mrs. Sylvia Boye a member of the commission to react to allegations made against her by one Kofi Yeboah Agyemang formerly of Daily Graphic.

According to him, the powers to subpoena an accused person are wisely and rarely used by the commission. Dr. Attefuah told Peace fm on Monday that Dr. Mrs Sylvia Boye has already responded in writing to state her position on the alleged torture incidence meted out to the complainant at the Accra office of the West African Exams Council, which was then headed by Mrs. Sylvia Boye.

He said Mrs. Boye could as well have been represented by her lawyers without she necessarily appearing in person.
