NDC planted ‘bomb’ in Minister's home to scare electorates - NPP alleges

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional Organiser Stephen Amoah popularly called ‘Sticker’ has accused members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) of deliberately planting the explosive objects around the Ashanti Regional Deputy Minister Andy Osei Okrah’s house.

He alleges that members of the NDC planted them [explosive objects] within the vicinity just to scare electorate ahead of December polls.

The ‘bomb' was found close to the deputy minister’s house on Tuesday prompting his immediate family to relocate even after it had been detonated.

Mr Amoah claimed the NDC members have plans of preventing indigenes in the region from moving out of their houses to visit polling stations to cast their votes within the stronghold of the NPP.

Speaking with host of Abusua Nkommo on Abusua FM Kwame Adinkrah, he said members of NDC want to deceive the public into believing that the NPP plotted the bomb.

Sticker added that the NDC wants to create fear and panic in the region, adding that nobody has bad intentions to harm the respected politician.

He stressed that supporters of NDC are shaking in their pants fearing that they will lose miserably in the region and the general elections.

‘It’s not true somebody planted the bomb, God is watching all of us, he sees all our movements. I wouldn’t say all NDC members are bad nuts, there are good ones but if you are a Ghanaian who have purposed your mind to create fear and panic, it will not work. If anybody or NPP has evil motive which is politically induced against firebrand NDC members in the region, Andy Okrah will not be part of that list, he is a fine man.

If anybody has any bad plan, names like Joseph Yamin, Obimpeh, John Ackon regional minister will come in mind. Andy is not a powerful politician. Why would he plot bomb there? It’s a matter of NDC members planning to scare people in Kumasi from voting during December elections,’ he claimed.

Sticker challenged the bomb experts in the national security and other security establishments to provide footages captured on the CCTV cameras.

‘Places in Kumasi which are not term priority areas have CCTV cameras, they have sophisticated CCTV cameras around the national security data center where the bomb was found. They should tell us the names of the culprits. They should stop engaging in dubious activities. How long can you continue to be in government, where is Osagyefuo Dr Kwame Nkrumah now?. Their moves are all about propaganda,’ he said.

He encouraged Ghanaians not to panic for the elections will not be rigged, calling on the electorate to vote massively for Nana Addo and the NPP.
