EMMA CONSULTED ME, SAYS HUSBAND

Mr Mike Mitchell, husband of Mrs Emma Mitchell, has confirmed to GRI that his wife told him of her resignation as Minister of Trade and Industry and " and I gave my blessings to that."

"She took her decision alone and I have nothing but to support her", he added.

Mr Mitchell said it is not for him to assign the reason why a politician has decided to resign her high office as the Minister of state, adding, Emma is a low profile woman who will not like to give a long talk about her resignation to the press.

Asked about her whereabouts, (because a visit to their home at cite 19, Community One in Tema showed that Mrs Mitchell was out), Mr Mitchell, Managing Director of Sun Ray Engineering Company said if she is not at home, then you should find her at the office.

"I am so much engrossed at the workshop to fulfil my contract and cannot tell whether she is at home or not", he said, adding, if she has left the Ministry it does not mean she has left the great NDC party which I also support".
