Bosch deepens footprint in economy

Bosch Ghana, a subsidiary of the leading global supplier of technology and services has held dealers and users conference 2016 with the commitment to deepening and fostering sustainable business relationship with customers and help build confidence of the brand in the market.

The Bosch Group, which officially set up a country office last year after over two decades of existence in the country via various distributors and agents, is renowned for its leadership in mobility solutions, industrial technology, consumer goods, energy and building technology.

Mr. Benjy Ofori, Regional Sales Director West & Central Africa speaking at the opening of the conference in Accra emphasised that company’s plans to focus on the importance of power tools in increasing efficiency in output and overall growth of businesses.

He added that the company is targeting to strengthen its market presence in the country, as has been the case in the rest of its African operations.

“The major significance of the power tools dealership event is to underline the commitment of Bosch Ghana at building and fostering sustainable business relationship with its customers and also build confidence of the brand in the market”.

Mr. Ofori said the vision of Bosch is to increase its business presence in the country and also provide significant value-add to the Ghanaian economy and population.

“Among others, we seek to achieve this through strengthening Bosch’s presence in the market, creating brand awareness, providing local training to users and retailers, offering affordable tools and extending our distribution coverage,” he said.

According to Mr. Ofori, the Bosch Power Tools Division is customer-focused and epitomizes great engineering progress and has as a result, recorded significant successes in the innovation of power tools, power tool accessories and measuring tools.

In order to reinforce this customer-centric approach, Bosch in Ghana will be looking at reinforcing its brand visibility in hardware markets through new innovations such as the Bosch Power Box, specialized outlets and also by extending distribution within key cities such as Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi.

This interactive conference which comprised presentations, training sessions and exhibitions during which information on Bosch’s product and service portfolios for Ghana was shared with participants.

Dealers and distributors at the event offered the opportunity to tour the tools exhibition area to view the various tools and also had one-on-one sessions with the Bosch service support team.

On the Corporate Social Responsibility front, with over 20 years of operation through its distributors and dealers in Ghana and years of operations in Africa, Bosch is committed to empowering young talent in Sub-Saharan Africa. They have therefore initiated AFRIKA KOMMT, a programme engineered towards empowering young become budding African business leaders.

Bosch, in partnership with various companies, also offers scholarship programmes to junior African executives to spend a year in Germany completing professional courses.

The goal of the programme is to foster mutual exchange and learning between African executives and German companies.
