Ghanaians should support the flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) to bring development to the nation since he has demonstrated the ability to perform, the Tufuhene of Gomoa Eshiem, Nana Asam, has stated.

“If you look at the PPP, they are an orderly and well-planned party. I have every belief that when the PPP is voted into power, they will transform the country. Seeing what he has been able to do with his bank is ample evidence of his abilities,” he noted.

The chief also called for support for the PPP parliamentary aspirant of the Gomoa West constituency, Charles Kofi Yawson.

Dr. Nduom, popularly known as ‘Edwumawura’ for his entrepreneurial prowess, visited the area for the campaign launch of the PPP parliamentary aspirant.

Addressing a gathering at the community park, Dr. Nduom emphasised his call for Ghanaians to vote for him if only what they wanted were jobs, noting that the other presidential candidates standing for election this year have their unique abilities, but his was job creation, which the country needed at the moment.

The chairperson of Groupe Nduom, which owns over 50 businesses across the globe, argued that the solution to the ailing economy did not lie with the NPP or the NDC.

Dr. Nduom said he was better placed as an entrepreneur to lead the country towards an economic revolution with an abundance of jobs.

“What we need in Ghana today is someone who can change the economy, someone who can bring jobs and if it is jobs, [then] it is not Nana Akufo-Addo the lawyer, it is not Mahama the communicator, it is Papa Kwesi Nduom, Edwumawura, who will bring the jobs.”

The three-time flagbearer argued that the living conditions in the country had worsened, as many young people remained unemployed. To him, the many years spent by the NDC government in power had not alleviated the plight of citizens and the time had come to vote them out.

Accepting the challenge to lead the party to victory in the parliamentary election, Mr. Yawson asked the people of Gomoa West to support him to bring the change the constituency desired.

He promised the people that if voted into office, he would help establish poultry farms to alleviate the unemployment problem the people of Gomoa West are saddled with.
