The Confederation of African Football has banned Ghanaian winger Francis Coffie for two inter-clubs matches.

Coffie was found guilty of insulting the referee in Al Merreikh’s 2-0 defeat to Kawkab Marrakech in May during their Confederation Cup playoffs second leg.

This means the former Asante Kotoko player will serve the ban if his club qualify for either the Champions League or Confederation Cup next year.

Coffie has been playing for Sudanese side Al Merreikh the past three years.
