Thomas Partey begins pre-season with Madrid

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has started pre-season with Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

The 23-year-old was among 23 players who trained at the Wanda Training complex on Thursday.

Coach Diego Simeone took his players through the paces in the morning after the players underwent medical tests earlier.

Atletico have lined up series of high-profile pre-season friendlies including the International Champions Cup against Tottenham Hotspur in Australia on July 29.

Partey will be hoping to continue his fine form at the club this season after excelling heavily last term.
