Former Hearts of Oak captain Nuru Sulley was sad when the Phobians parted ways with Japanese trainer, Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

The Japanese trainer who had a protracted sour relationship with the management of the club finally parted ways with the club following his request to go for a month’s course in India.

But the former captain of the club, who is now with Turkish Super Lig side Alanyaspor says it was sad news to him.

“I was sad when I heard that news. I think he has done a great job by giving the fans hope to believe in the team again,” Nuru said.

“So parting ways with him was not the best. At least, he has increased the fan base, and the supporters are now watching Hearts matches.

“So letting him go will not help the club.”

He, however, called on the fans to keep supporting the club despite Kenichi’s absence.

“But the supporters must forget about him now and support anyone who takes over. Phobia shall always be Phobia while coaches will come and go,” he concluded.
