"The mess in health delivery continues - Korle-Bu doctors threaten another strike action...As administrator is mentioned in financial scandal", is the banner headline of the Free Press.

The accompanying story says at a time when innocent lives are being lost at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital due to the cash- and-carry system slapped on Ghanaians by the government, some personalities of the hospital's administration have found it prudent to enrich themselves at the expense of the sick.

According to the Free Press, Mrs. Sylvia Anie-Akwetey, the acting Director of Administration, is believed to be involved in alleged malpractice.

The paper says realising that the Purchasing Committee of the hospital was on the verge of exposing her, she dissolved the committee and quickly formed another one of which she is the chairperson.

These disclosures, the Free Press says were contained in a letter written by Dr Lassey to Dr (Colonel) W. Anoff, chairman of the hospital's management board.

The paper says senior and junior doctors, nurses, administrators and even labourers, have called for the removal of Mrs. Anie- Akwetey or "the hospital will experience another strike action soon".
