Some Black Stars fans are strongly opposed to Sulley Muntari's quest to return to the Ghana national team after the Saudi-based midfielder finally apologised for the incident that led to his dismissal from the team.

The Al Ittihad player apologised for his actions that at the 2014 World Cup on Tuesday, two years after the incident led to dismissal from the Black Stars and disgrace to the country.

Muntari said he is now available to play for the national team, two years after refusing to apologise and appear before the Ghana's 2014 World Cup commission set up to investigate the disaster.

Muntari was slapped with an indefinite ban from the Black Stars after physically attacking management member Moses Armah during a meeting at the tournament in Brazil.

With his popularity waning following his axing from Italian giants AC Milan and subsequent move to Saudi side Al Ittihad, the midfielder wants to return to the national team.

Despite his apology, some Ghanaian football fans are opposed to Mun tari 's return claiming it is opportunistic.

Below are some of the comments:

Dabre Gampini He never said in the letter he wanted black stars return. He only said that if he is called upon at any time he would be glad to serve this nation. If his apology is not base on remorse but for the fact that he wanted to return to the team then its an effort in futility.
