Total Ghana has launched various initiatives to support activities of some security agencies across the country. The Company made some donations as part of an outreach programme to several branches of the Ghana National Fire Service and the Accra Central Command of the Ghana Police Service.

The Accra, Tema, Takoradi, Kumasi, Tamale and Koforidua branches of the Ghana National Fire Service received some fuel to support their field activities, while the Accra Central Command of the Ghana Police Service received AWANGO BY TOTAL solar lamps during the celebration of ‘Wassa’, an annual event to fete various categories of staff of the Ghana Police Service for their hard work and loyalty.

Making the presentations on behalf of Total Ghana at the various stations, the Health, Safety and Quality Manager, Bright Dokosi, reiterated the Company’s commitment to supporting governmental bodies, especially the emergency response units to assist in maintaining a conducive environment for all.

According to him, “We value our Ghanaian brothers and sisters who have contributed to the growth of our Company all these years and we will continue to support your efforts at maintaining a safe and healthy environment for them”.

The Accra Central District Commander, DSP Richmond Bonsu, who received the AWANGO BY TOTAL Solar products, commended Total Ghana for supporting the Unit and assured them of the Service’s continuous support.

Both security agencies have been long-standing partners of Total Ghana and have collaborated in several of its road safety initiatives such as the Total Caravan for Safety and other similar programs over the years. The security agencies have been beneficiaries of previous initiatives.

As a socially responsible entity, Total Ghana has always initiated programmes to impact the various communities in which it operates. Stakeholders such as commercial drivers and school children have benefited largely from several sensitization campaigns the Company has organised.
