Isaac Koomson vows to win GHALCA seat

Vice chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Isaac Koomson, claims he will win the chairmanship position at the upcoming GHALCA elections with a landslide.

Isaac Koomson, the vice chairman for Alhaji Raji Led GHALCA, submitted his forms to contest for the chairmanship position of the association Monday.

Speaking on Happy FM, the Aduana Stars Accra representative said he was very optimistic and he would win the election by not less than 60% of the total votes.

"If I get 50-55% out of the total of 110 votes then it's not me Koomson, then I didn't do well at all. I will get more than 60 votes. If you talk about Koomson you mean integrity," he claimed.

"Football Stakeholders have trust in me and they are fully in support of me. I will make sure I lead the association in the direction that anytime Ghana football is mentioned people will always remember that there is unit called GHALCA." Koomson added.

Ghana League Clubs Association has fixed April 21 for their elections.

Meanwhile, incubent chairman Alhaji Ali Raji failed to pick a form to contest for a retention of his position.

The elections will seek to elect other executives to run the affairs of the association apart from the chairmanship position which will bring top football persons into hot contest including incumbent vice chairman Isaac Koomson, Ashgold CEO Kudjo Fianoo as well as Kofi Poku and Nana Oduro Sarfo.
