Players of the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana are yet to receive their bonuses for their 2-0 victory over Comoros last November.

The match, which was played on November 17 2015 in Kumasi, was settled by goals from Mubarak Wakaso and Jordan Ayew.

The result sent the Black Stars into the main qualifying series for the next World Cup. However, it has emerged that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is yet to pay winning bonuses due the Black Stars.

“There are some outstanding winning bonuses owed the Black Stars. The payment from the win over Comoros has not been made,” Afriyie told Accra based CITI-FM

Afriyie went on to hint strongly that the GFA would be patient with the Sports Ministry in order to find a resolution.

“There is a new sports minister in office now. We will give him time to settle and look at the issues and he will address them.”

There are unconfirmed reports circulating that Black Stars head Coach Avram Grant is also owed two month salary.
