Deadline for business returns extended

Accra, Aug. 29, GNA - The Registrar-General Department (RGD) has extended the deadline for businesses to file their annual returns and renew registration of business names and partnerships from August 31 to September 30, 2003.

A statement signed by Mrs Elizabeth Owiredu-Gyampoh, the Registrar-General, said the extension was as result of persistent pressure from the business community and the public.

The Registrar-General, therefore, urged all enterprises that have not yet registered to take advantage of the extension and comply with the deadline.

She also asked businesses to submit their renewal application forms and annual returns to the Registry of the Department. The Registrar-General stressed that it has not mandated any person to collect renewal fees or any other fees on behalf of the Department
