Tourism in Ghana - There's hope

Ghana is expected to attract about 1m tourist willing to spend in the region of US$1.6b by the year 2010, says Ghana's Minister of Tourism Mr Mike Gizo. Presently tourism is the third foreign income generator for Ghana. Referring to the vision 2020 blueprint ,much talked about in government circles, aimed at making Ghana a middle- income- economy by the year 2020, Mr. Gizo said ,the projections would be reality in 2010 "taking into account the human factor in terms of professional career personnel with (the) requisite logistic support".
