The former Premier League Board Chairman, Welbeck Abra-Appiah has told his successor, Ashford Tetteh Oku to be fair and transparent in his decision making as of the body.

Welbeck Abra-Appiah last year announced his decision to the Ghana Football Association to step down as head of the PLB chairman after a decade at the office.

The FA requested for a competent successor and Abra-Appiah recommended Ashford Tetteh Oku who has been at the Premier League Board since 2005.

He was promoted to the vice chairman position by the Ghana FA president in 2011. His hard work, honesty and knowledge in football administration earned him the vice chairmanship role.

And Abra-Appiah has pleaded with him yo remain honest and fair in all his dealings as head of the body.

“I want you to join me in congratulating our new PLB chairman Mr. Ashford T. Oku. I am extremely happy the GFA president and Exco accepted my recommendation in appointing him as such,” Abra Appiah wrote on WhatsApp platform.

“I sincerely pray that the good Lord will grant him wisdom and knowledge in all his endeavours.

“T. T, be diplomatic and very fair in all your dealings. Please don’t let me down for I have total confidence in you.”

Welbeck Abra-Appiah serves as the Vice Chairman of the Premier League Board from 1998 – 2004 become he named Chairman of the body in 2005.
