Goalkeeper for current Ghana Premier League champions Ashantigold, Fatau Dauda has rendered an unqualified apology to all journalists who were affected by his behavior after he was questioned about his form following their 1-1 draw with Kotoko in the G6.

The Black Stars shot-stopper disclosed that he was highly upset by the mode of the question by the journalist which he felt was a deliberate attempt to denigrate him.

“I want to apologise unreservedly for the behavior I put up at the post-match press briefing after drawing 1-1 with Kotoko. Honestly I was infuriated by the question posed by the journalist because he showed clearly that he had an agenda against me and had rehearsed the question. He said I was rusty and bad during the game and I asked him whether he was a journalist or a spectator before my coach came in and offered to answer the question on my behalf. I am human and naturally I got really upset by that question which I feel was a deliberate attempt to put me down. Everyone who got affected by actions should forgive me.” Fatau said remorsefully on Happy FM.

Fatau Dauda is reported to have threatened to beat a journalist for asking him why he was rusty and bad in post against Asante Kotoko which ended 1-1.
