The National Women’s League board chairperson, Leanier Addy, has called on corporate entities to finance Women’s League in Ghana and the Black Queens for them to do well in all competitions.

Addy is confident such sponsorship will help develop and lift the standard of women’s football in Ghana.

“We all know how well the Black Queens did last year at the All African Games. They won Gold and made us all proud,” she said at a GFA event.

“But that could not have materialised without us having a very good and competitive National Women’s League. Anyone who witnessed the final match between Ampem Darko Ladies and Hasaacas Ladies indeed saw that there is enough quality players in Ghana.

“One that if given the needed support will go far more than they did at the All Africa Games”, Addy mentioned.

The Black Queens of Ghana won gold at the All African Games which was played in DR Congo last year.
