Air Namibia continues Ghana operations

Air Namibia can continue its operations in Ghana as well as Botswana, Angola, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Germany, after passing its safety auditing.

The carrier’s Air Operator Certificate was renewed recently after months of auditing.

The certificate was issued last week by Director of Civil Aviation, Angeline Simana, giving Air Namibia a clean bill of health to continue its commercial operations.

“We do not brag about safety because it is an intangible element that you cannot hold onto, but for our airline to receive its AOC without conditions testifies to our collective commitment to ensure that we comply with all safety requirements at all times,” said head of corporate communications, Air Namibia, Paul Nakawa.

The renewal came days before the carrier won the Best Regional Airline Feather Award from the Airports Company of South Africa.
