CPF president assists 52 year-old woman to pursue SSS course

Accra, July 25, GNA - Dr. Eric Ntiamoah-Mensah, President of the Christian Professional Fellowship, on Friday presented two million cedis to Ms Elisabeth Boakye, a 52 year-old woman who is pursuing SSS education in the Eastern Region.

The donation was in response to a plea in the media to support her financially to enable her to achieve her ambition in life.

"It is really good news for a woman of her age to take up the challenge of secondary school education in spite of the social, economic, family and health problems. It is indeed a great example for our adolescent girls to follow," Dr Ntiamoah-Mensah said. In a release issued in Accra he urged adolescent girls to see the importance of education from the desire and efforts of Ms Boakye and take their studies seriously. "The donation is a birthday token in demonstration of my love and interest for women and especially their health", the release added. Dr Ntiamoah-Mensah advised women not to see numerous health issues like menopause, childbearing and menstruation as hindrance to achieving their purpose and ambition in life. He also called on heads of schools to accept girls who drop out of school due to pregnancy. However, he added, this is not to be teenage pregnancy.
