Newly appointed Hearts of Oak Coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi has said he is poised to revamp the Phobia philosophy by propelling the club to its glory days as it was in 2000.

The Japanese American is confident to break the trophy drought for the fans to revive their unflinching support for the rainbow colours. The last time the Phobians touched the Ghana Premier League trophy was in the 2008/9 season.

The 46-year-old former Aspire Academy trainer has agreed a two-year-deal with Hearts of Oak after arriving in Ghana from Japan on Sunday.

“I will be coaching Hearts of Oak. I think I am very unique in the sense that I don’t think that any other coach has a similar experience that I have. I have been successful everywhere that I have coached so I'll replicate the same thing for Hearts.

“I think the most important thing is that they are looking forward to a change and I have fresh ideas to do that. I have a clear direction that I want to take this team to,” Yatsuhashi told Starr Sports.

Yatsuhashi will officially be introduced to the entire playing body of Hearts on Thursday and subsequently hold his first training session at the Pobi-man Park.
